In this episode of THRIVE Talks, we introduce Rowan Blizzard, a products manager and solutions seeker at Innovation House. Rowan joins us to look at some of the issues addressed by SDG11 which aims to make cities more inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.
Rowan has extensive experience in the construction industry, particularly with housing resilience. He is an expert in cyclone and flood resistant building products, and has had first-hand experience of natural disasters, including Cyclones Larry and Yasi, and the Townsville floods of 2019.
Rowan explains how we can plan and build more energy efficient homes that are resilient to the effects of climate change. He also discusses the latest materials and techniques used in building, and the most effective ways to reduce your household’s carbon footprint.
